QUESTION:
What do the scholars and the muftis of the noble shariah say regarding this matter; what is the ruling on having a hair transplant?
Questioner: Bilal from Leicester, UK
ANSWER:
بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم
الجواب بعون الملک الوھاب اللھم ھدایۃ الحق والصواب
It is permissible to have a hair transplant with hairs that do not belong to a human. It would be impermissible to benefit from human hair for a transplant. However, a transplant using artificial or animal hairs would be allowed.
